Soulink Cookie Policy
Last Updated: May 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Soulink ("Soulink," "we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our websites, mobile applications, and online services (collectively, the "Services").
It describes what cookies are, which types we use, for what purposes, and how you can manage your cookie preferences.
This policy applies to all visitors and users of our Services, regardless of location, and is written in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), and the Law on Personal Data Protection of North Macedonia (LPDP).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files or data fragments stored on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website or use an app.
They enable the website or service to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and improve the overall user experience.
We use the term "cookies" to include similar technologies such as:
- HTML cookies
- Local storage
- Pixel tags
- Clear GIFs
- Session identifiers
- Secure tokens
These technologies may help us:
- Maintain secure login sessions
- Store your AI chat and journaling preferences
- Analyze site performance and technical errors
- Understand how users interact with our Services
Some cookies are placed by Soulink directly (first-party cookies), while others are placed by trusted partners such as Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, or AWS (third-party technologies).
2. Types of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Examples / Providers | Duration | Legal Basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Analytics Cookies | Measure aggregated, anonymous usage patterns to improve site performance. | Google Analytics 4 (GA4) | Up to 2 years | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent |
| Behavior Analytics Cookies | Session recordings and heatmaps on public pages to understand how visitors navigate and interact with the site. Forms, inputs, email fields, payment-related fields, and elements we explicitly mark as sensitive are masked before capture. | Microsoft Clarity | Up to 1 year | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent |
| AI Session Cookies | Maintain secure login and short-term session continuity. | session_id, csrf_token, soulink_auth | Session only | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) / Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (security); no consent required |

3. Third-Party Cookies and Partners
Soulink relies on selected third-party services that may use cookies or local storage technologies:
| Vendor | Purpose / Role | Location | Data Transfer Mechanism |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Page view analytics and conversion tracking (only with consent) | USA | SCC Module 2 + TIA |
| Microsoft Clarity | Session recordings and heatmaps on public pages only. Strict masking enabled — all form inputs, email fields, payment-related fields, and marked sensitive elements are masked before capture. | USA | SCC Module 2 + TIA |
| OpenAI | AI text responses (no cookies, backend-only) | USA | SCC Module 2 + TIA |
| Deepgram / ElevenLabs | Audio transcription & synthesis (no cookies, backend-only) | USA | SCC Module 2 + TIA |
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Cloud hosting, infrastructure security | Germany (EU) | EEA Storage |
None of these services are used for advertising personalization or cross-site behavioral advertising. Microsoft Clarity is used only for first-party behavior analytics on approved public pages and only after consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time under Settings → Privacy → Cookies, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
