Frequently Asked Questions

A private space for depth psychology, built on the work of Carl Jung.

The basics

What is Soulink?

Soulink is an AI-powered self-reflection platform built on the work of Carl Jung and the tradition of analytical psychology. It gives you five AI companions — each one trained on more than 1,000 works of Jungian and depth psychology — to help you explore your dreams, confront your shadow, understand your personal archetypes, and work toward deeper self-knowledge. You can use it through text or voice. Think of it as a private space for inner work: not a chatbot, not a mood tracker, but a real instrument for depth psychology.

What is depth psychology, and how does Soulink use it?

Depth psychology is the study of the unconscious — the layer of the mind beneath your awareness that shapes how you think, feel, and act without asking your permission. Rooted in the work of Carl Jung and the analytical-psychology tradition, it includes ideas such as archetypes, the shadow, dream interpretation, individuation, and the collective unconscious. These ideas are the foundation of every AI companion on Soulink. When you write about a dream or a pattern that keeps repeating in your life, the response doesn’t come from generic self-help. It comes from a system built specifically to read the unconscious through a Jungian lens.

Do I need to know anything about Carl Jung or psychology to use Soulink?

Not at all. Soulink is built so that anyone can use it, whatever their background. You don’t need to have read Jung or to know what individuation or the anima means before you begin. The AI companions explain concepts naturally, as they come up in your sessions. Some people arrive already fluent in Jungian psychology; others meet it here for the first time. Both paths are equally valid — the only thing you need is the willingness to look inward.

Is Soulink a replacement for therapy or a real psychologist?

No. Soulink is not therapy, and it is not a replacement for a licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, or Jungian analyst. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. What it offers is a space for honest self-reflection, guided by AI companions that understand depth psychology. Many people use Soulink alongside therapy — as a way to journal between sessions, or to explore questions they aren’t yet ready to bring to a therapist. If you are in crisis or experiencing serious mental-health difficulties, please contact a licensed professional or your local emergency service.

The five AI companions

Who are the five AI companions, and which one should I start with?

Soulink is built around five AI companions, and each is a distinct intelligence — its own philosophy, its own source material, its own reason to exist. Dr. J reads your dreams. Dr. L works your shadow. Dr. E tends desire and creativity. Dr. S holds the questions of meaning and synchronicity. Dr. A turns insight into a life you can actually live. You don’t have to choose perfectly; begin wherever the pull is. Woke from a dream you can’t shake? Start with Dr. J. Keep making the same mistake? Dr. L. Something feels numb or missing? Dr. E. Sense that your life is trying to tell you something? Dr. S. Understood yourself and don’t know what to do with it? Dr. A. All five are available on every plan.

Who is Dr. J, and what is the philosophy and source material behind him?

Dr. J is The Depth Analyst — the companion for dreams, symbols, and the unconscious mind. His philosophy is simple and old: the unconscious speaks in images, and a dream is not noise to be cleared but a message worth reading. He doesn’t hand you a definition from a dream dictionary. He reads what you actually wrote and works with its symbols, its imagery, and its emotional charge.

His source material is Carl Jung’s work on dreams and the architecture of the psyche — the method of amplification, the distinction between the personal and the collective unconscious, and the archetypal patterns Jung traced across myth, religion, and the dreaming mind. Dr. J is where you go for a single vivid dream, a dream that keeps returning, a symbol you can’t stop thinking about, or a pattern you want to follow back to its root.

Who is Dr. L, and what is the philosophy and source material behind him?

Dr. L is The Shadow Philosopher — the companion for the work most people spend their lives avoiding. The shadow, in Jungian terms, is everything you’ve pushed away, denied, or refused to look at: the traits, desires, and fears you decided weren’t acceptable and exiled into the unconscious. His philosophy is that what you refuse to look at runs your life, and that the shadow is not your enemy but the disowned part of you waiting to be owned. His register is exacting and cultivated, never flattering — an intelligence that draws the uncomfortable into the light without cruelty, and that names the gap between what you say and what you actually do.

His source material is Jung’s concept of the shadow and the analytical-psychology literature on projection, repression, and integration. Dr. L is built for the moments that betray you: an overreaction to something small, the same mistake made again in a relationship, a feeling you can’t explain or justify. Shadow work isn’t comfortable, but it’s where most real growth happens.

Who is Dr. E, and what is the philosophy and source material behind her?

Dr. E is The Flame of Eros — the companion for desire, creativity, passion, and emotional expression. Where Dr. J works with dreams and Dr. L with the shadow, Dr. E works with the part of you that wants: the creative impulse, the desire you can’t quite name, the fire that got buried under obligation and practicality. Her philosophy is that desire is information and the creative impulse is not a luxury but a signal — it tells you where your life-energy is trying to go. She won’t push you to be more productive or to set better goals; she helps you find where the fire went and how to reach it again.

Her source material is Jung’s principle of Eros and his understanding of libido as psychic life-energy — not narrowly sexual, but the whole current of connection, creation, and feeling — together with the depth-psychological work on the anima and the creative unconscious. Dr. E is where you go when you feel disconnected from your own wants, when your creativity is blocked, or when you know something is missing but can’t yet put it into words.

Who is Dr. S, and what is the philosophy and source material behind her?

Dr. S is The Mystic — the companion for meaning, synchronicity, and spiritual depth. Some questions don’t fit neatly into dreams or shadow; they’re larger. What am I doing here? Why do I keep seeing the same sign? Is there a pattern connecting things that shouldn’t be connected? Her philosophy is that meaning is real, that the big questions of purpose, fate, and calling belong inside depth psychology rather than outside it, and that a life can be read symbolically without being read vaguely.

Her source material is Carl Jung’s writing on synchronicity — meaningful coincidence as evidence of a deeper order — and his late work on alchemy as a symbolic psychology, extended into the wider Western esoteric tradition: Hermetic philosophy, the symbolism of alchemy and the Tarot, and the mystical literature of traditions such as Kabbalah and Sufism. Dr. S is the one to sit with when you feel your life is trying to tell you something and you can’t quite hear it yet.

Who is Dr. A, and what is the philosophy and source material behind her?

Dr. A is The Architect — the companion who turns understanding into a life you can actually live. The other four help you see what’s happening inside you; Dr. A helps you do something with it. Her philosophy is that insight is worthless until it becomes structure — until self-knowledge shows up in your decisions, your habits, and the way your days are built. From a Jungian view, she handles the practical edge of individuation: not goals imposed from outside, but a life shaped from the inside out. Through her signature tools — the Blueprint Read, the Keystone, and the Commission — she helps you move from “I understand this now” to “this is how I’m going to live.”

Her source material blends Jung’s idea of individuation with Stoic philosophy — Marcus Aurelius in particular — Nietzsche’s call to become who you are, Viktor Frankl’s search for meaning, and the strategic clarity of writers such as Robert Greene. Dr. A is where the inner and outer worlds meet, and the place to go when you’ve reflected long enough and the only question left is: how do I turn this into a life?

What you can do with Soulink

What is shadow work, and can I do it with Soulink?

Shadow work is the process of becoming aware of the parts of yourself you usually avoid, deny, or push away — hidden feelings, actions you don’t want to admit to, patterns that keep repeating in your relationships and choices. Carl Jung called this the shadow self. Yes, Soulink is built for exactly this kind of work. Dr. L, The Shadow Philosopher, is designed to help you see your blind spots, face hard truths, and work with the disowned material that quietly shapes your life. You can also raise shadow themes with any of the other companions.

Can Soulink interpret my dreams?

Yes. Dream analysis is one of Soulink’s core features. Dr. J, The Depth Analyst, specializes in Jungian dream interpretation. When you describe a dream, he works with its symbols, imagery, and emotional content using the same framework Jungian analysts have used for over a century — looking for archetypal patterns, connections to the unconscious mind, and recurring themes that may carry personal meaning. Whether you’re exploring a single vivid dream or tracking a series over time, Dr. J is where that work happens.

What are Jungian archetypes, and does Soulink work with them?

Jungian archetypes are universal psychological patterns Carl Jung identified in the human unconscious — recurring figures, themes, and symbols that appear across cultures, myths, dreams, and personal experience. They include the Shadow, the Anima and Animus, the Hero, the Wise Old Man, the Great Mother, and the Self. Soulink works with archetypes across the entire platform. When you share a dream, describe a pattern, or reflect on a relationship, the AI companions can identify which archetypes appear active in your psyche and help you understand what they mean for your growth and individuation.

Can I discover my personality archetypes through an archetype test?

In Jungian psychology, archetypes aren’t a fixed label you score on a quiz — they’re a living framework. So instead of a static archetype test with a set answer, Soulink works with your archetypes dynamically, through real conversation. As you explore your dreams, patterns, and inner conflicts with the AI companions, they surface which archetypes are most active in your psyche right now — and what that means for where you are in your individuation. This is closer to how a Jungian analyst would actually approach personal archetypes: not as a verdict, but as a way of understanding who you are and who you’re becoming.

What is a Soul Review?

A Soul Review is a structured reflection that Soulink generates at the end of a session, written in the language of depth psychology. It draws together your presenting concern, session observations, key insights, the symbols and imagery that came up, any shadow material, suggested directions for further exploration, and notes for next time. It’s saved to your personal Soulink Journal, where you can read it or download it as a PDF — a written record of what surfaced, what it might mean, and where to go next. Alongside session reviews, Soulink can also produce deeper weekly and monthly reflections that trace patterns across many sessions.

Can I talk to Soulink with my voice, or is it text only?

Soulink offers both. Text sessions are available on every plan. Voice sessions — where you speak and hear your AI companion respond in real time — are available on the Synchronicity (€49/month) and Deus Ex Machina (€139/month) plans. Voice uses a separate currency called Resonance Credits, because it takes more processing. Many people find that hearing a companion speak back to them reaches something that words on a screen don’t — a response in the body, not only the mind.

Plans, pricing, and access

Is there a free way to try Soulink without a credit card?

Yes. When you sign up, you receive 100 Reflection Credits — no credit card, no trial countdown. That’s enough for several real depth-psychology sessions with any of the companions. It isn’t a demo or a stripped-down preview: you get the same guides, the same Jungian framework, and the same quality of response that paid members experience. People often arrive searching for a “free AI therapist” or a “free AI psychologist.” Soulink isn’t either of those — it’s something more specific, and the free credits let you find out from your own experience, not from a marketing page, whether this kind of inner work is for you.

How much does Soulink cost, and what do the plans include?

Soulink starts with a free tier of 100 Reflection Credits — no credit card required. Paid plans are: Echo (€9/month) with 700 Reflection Credits and text sessions on all companions, best for a steady weekly practice; Synchronicity (€49/month) with 1,500 Reflection Credits plus 150 Resonance (voice) Credits and text and voice sessions on all companions, best for deeper, more frequent work; and Deus Ex Machina (€139/month) with 5,000 Reflection Credits plus 500 Resonance Credits, daily text and voice access, all companions, and VIP support, best for serious, sustained inner work. Top-up credit packs are available if you need more between billing cycles, and all credits expire 60 days after they’re issued.

How does Soulink compare to other AI mental-health apps?

Soulink works precisely because it isn’t trying to be everything to everyone. Most AI mental-health apps and AI psychology chatbots are built broad: mood tracking, general affirmations, surface-level CBT prompts. Soulink is built for one thing — depth psychology rooted in the work of Carl Jung. Every AI companion is trained on more than 1,000 works of Jungian and analytical psychology and the wider depth-psychological tradition. So when you share a dream, a recurring pattern, or a shadow moment, the response comes from a system that genuinely understands the unconscious — not a general-purpose chatbot wearing a psychology hat. For serious inner work, that’s the whole difference.

Trust and privacy

Can Soulink help with stress, anxiety, or relationship issues?

Soulink is not a clinical tool and does not treat stress, anxiety, or any specific condition. But much of what sits behind stress, anxiety, and difficult relationships has roots in the unconscious — in unresolved shadow material, unexamined archetypes, or psychological patterns that keep repeating. Depth psychology is uniquely equipped to explore exactly that. If you want to understand why the same emotional patterns keep returning, Soulink gives you a space to look at them honestly, with AI companions that understand how the unconscious mind works. For clinical treatment, always consult a licensed professional.

Is my data private? Do you use my sessions to train AI models?

Yes, your data is always private. Your sessions, your dreams, your reflections — none of it is ever used to train AI models. Ever. All data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. It’s stored in the EU (AWS Frankfurt, Germany) and is fully GDPR-compliant. You can request complete data deletion at any time through your account settings. Soulink was built on the belief that your inner world deserves the same protection as your most sensitive personal information — because it is your most sensitive personal information.

Who built Soulink?

Soulink was founded by a surgeon who believed that understanding the mind matters as much as healing the body. It’s built by a small, independent team — doctors, AI engineers, psychologists, and artists — based in Skopje, North Macedonia and Konstanz, Germany. Not a big tech company: a small team that cares about the quality of inner experience, and that built Soulink because we believe AI can become a real instrument for self-knowledge, growth, and depth-psychological exploration when it’s guided by the right foundation.
